1. Overview
This Return & Refund Policy applies to all purchases made in person at any Vape Boss & Cigars location in Calgary, Alberta. We do not sell products online, so all returns, exchanges, and refunds must be handled at one of our physical store locations.
Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase. By purchasing products from Vape Boss & Cigars, you agree to the terms outlined below.
2. Important – No Returns After Leaving the Store (Disposables & Pods)
Due to the nature of vaping products and health regulations:
No exchange is allowed on disposable vapes once the purchase occurs and the customer leaves the premises without immediately highlighting the issue of a defective device to the sales associate.
This means:
- Inspect your disposable vape at the counter before leaving the store.
- If you believe the device is defective, tell our staff immediately while still in the store.
- Once you leave the store, disposable vapes cannot be returned or exchanged for any reason.
3. Non-Returnable Items (No Exchanges Allowed)
The following items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged under any circumstances:
- E-liquids
- Closed pods 2 ml
- All replacement coils
- Empty pods
- Any accessories (chargers, cases, etc.)
- All tobacco cigar products
There are no exceptions to the above. Please choose carefully before purchasing these items.
4. Exchanges Only – Device Warranty (14 Days)
Exchanges are allowed only on hardware devices (batteries/mod devices) under the following conditions:
Condition and Requirement
Time limit - Within 14 days from the date of purchase
Proof of purchase - Original receipt OR loyalty membership record
Type of defect - Electronic defect only (device fails to power on, charge, or function electronically)
What is NOT covered under warranty:
The following issues are not considered warranty defects and will not be accepted for exchange:
- Leaking from pods or coils
- Physical damage (dropped device, cracked screen, etc.)
- Damage from improper charging (using incorrect charger)
- Normal wear and tear
- User error or misuse
NOTE: Leaks from pods or coils are not considered warranty issues by Vape Boss & Cigars.
How to request an exchange:
Bring the defective device to the same Vape Boss location where you made the original purchase (Ogden, Walden, or Nolan)
- Provide your original receipt or have your loyalty membership available
- Our staff will inspect the device for electronic defects
- If approved, we will exchange the device for the same item (or similar item of equal value)
5. Refunds (Store Manager Discretion)
Refunds (money back) are rare and only granted at the sole discretion of the Store Manager.
NOTE: Where an exchange is not possible for the same item or a similar item, we will grant a full refund subject to the discretion of the store manager.
Circumstances where a refund might be considered:
- The exact same device is no longer available
- No similar device of equal value is available as a replacement
- The manager determines that an exception is warranted
Refunds are never given for:
- Disposables (once you leave the store)
- E-liquids, pods, coils, or accessories
- Buyer's remorse ("I changed my mind")
6. How to Submit a Return/Exchange Request
Because all sales occur in-store, all returns, exchanges, and warranty claims must be handled in person at the location where you made your original purchase.
Steps:
- Gather your items: Bring the defective product and your original receipt (or have your loyalty membership)
- Visit the store: Go to the same Vape Boss location where you purchased the item (Ogden, Walden, or Nolan)
- Speak with staff: Explain the issue to our sales associate
- Inspection: Our staff will inspect the product
- Resolution: If approved, you will receive an exchange or, at manager's discretion, a refund
- Important: We cannot process returns or exchanges via phone, email, or social media. You must visit the store in person with the product.
